Diginex, a digital asset financial services and advisory company, is pleased to announce Malcolm Wright, Chief Compliance Officer has been elected Chair of the Advisory Council at Global Digital Finance (GDF), the industry body advocating and accelerating the adoption of digital assets.
Malcolm is Chief Compliance Officer at Diginex based in Hong Kong, where he manages regulatory compliance in the jurisdictions in which the firm operates. Prior to this, he was Chief Compliance Officer at Revolut, a leading FinTech company and has held senior several leadership roles within Thomson Reuters’s financial crime division.
Commenting on the appointment Lawrence Wintermeyer Co-Chair of GDF, said Mr. Wright brings “a wealth of experience, insight, and a vast and influential global network to the GDF membership and mission”.
“I am delighted to be elected Chair of the GDF Advisory Council,” said Malcolm Wright. “Having been deeply involved leading the AML initiatives on behalf of GDF to raise AML / KYC standards across the industry, including developing new standards in this space, this new role will help take these initiatives and drive the maturity of digital assets further across the ecosystem. This will include plans for codes of conduct for Market Integrity and Custody, as well as a detailed paper on tax implications”.
